Visitors to the Lake Tahoe Basin will immediately know
that they have arrived someplace special. There
are a few things that we ask of visitors to help protect
this unique and fragile environment:
- Don´t litter
- Never dump anything down a storm drain
- Use public transportation whenever possible
- Consider low-impact recreation activities like hiking
and biking
- Leave no trace: Always pack out anything you pack
in
- Stay on trails: Never cut switchbacks on trails, it
can cause erosion
- Pick up after pets
- Stay out of fragile wetlands and riparian areas
